First Trip in the Motor Home

So up and coming trips have been on my mind lately what with the weather getting warmer and the open water on the lakes around me. The first trip I'll get to take this year will be to Bemidji, MN which isn't a very long or big trip but it is the first one I'll be taking with my mom and her fiance in their new motor home since we brought it back from Texas. We are heading up there for the weekend to attend my grandparents' vow renewal and thought we'd do a little camping too. Let's call it a test run to see what works before they take any longer trips.

The motor home is super fancy on the inside. It has a nice bed, an actual shower and bathroom, and comfy seating for the driver as well as the other passengers. They have been working to update it since they bought it in the fall because a few things needed work. It is a 2000 after all. Hopefully, it will serve them well on their trips.

Anyway about Bemidji, I don't have to plan this trip which is pretty great! I get to go along for the ride. I will get the chance to see how the motor home works when we actually take it out to camp though. I'm used to sleeping in tents when I backpack through the boundary waters. This will be a big change. We are going to be camping for only one night, just enough to test it out. There will be cooking in the newly updated kitchen as well as bonfires outside. We will be able to get everything settled and know where we want to keep everything for a longer trip across the States.
